He was the beloved husband to the love of his life the late Marion A. Vargas (nee Frain). In the hearts of those who survive him, Victor leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. He was the loving father of Barbara (Jack) Kalemba, Laura (Charles III) Wurl, Linda (Phil) Mance, Deborah (Frank) Kubisz, and Gail (Ron) Lindemann. His presence will be deeply missed by his proud grandchildren Sara, Tiffany, Shelli (Mitchell), Richard, Rachel, Chuckie, Nicholas, and Kaitlyn. He was also the cherished great-grandfather of Grayson, Francisco, and Victoria. Victor's memory will be held dear by his caring sister Vi (late Frank) Jackson and by numerous cousins, godchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents: Victor Vargas and Rose Gadzinski (nee Szymanski).
Victor led a life filled with service and pride. His commitment to his country was unwavering as he served in the U.S. Army, a chapter in his life that he carried with honor. After his military service, Victor continued to make a mark in his community as a retiree of Iron Workers Local 1, where his hard work and dedication shone through.
A man with a heart of gold, Victor selflessly volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry at St. Florian, embodying the true spirit of generosity and compassion.
As we bid farewell to Victor F. Vargas we are reminded of a life well-lived—a life defined by service to others and love for family.
