Thomas D. Ganczewski

Thomas D. Ganczewski, age 73, of Hegewisch, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. He was a beloved husband, loving father, devoted grandfather, proud great grandfather, cherished brother, dear uncle, and kind cousin. Thomas was born on July 14, 1950.

Thomas was the beloved husband of the late Cheryl Lynn Ganczewski (nee DeRolf). Their love and commitment to each other were inspiring to all who knew them. Together, they created a home filled with love and warmth.

As a father, Thomas was dedicated to his two sons Timothy (Androniki)  and Christopher  (Pamela). He provided them with endless support and guidance throughout their lives. Thomas took pride in watching his sons grow into successful and compassionate individuals.

Thomas was also a doting grandfather to Bobbie, Zachary, and Katerina. He showered them with love and affection and enjoyed spending quality time with them. His presence in their lives brought immense joy and happiness.

Being a great-grandfather to Elijah brought Thomas much pride and happiness. He cherished the opportunity to see yet another generation thriving within his family.

Thomas shared a special bond with his late sister Janet Ganczewski. Despite her passing before him, the memories they created together will forever live in his heart.

In addition to his immediate family members, Thomas had a close relationship with his nieces and nephews: Keith DeRolf, Rachel Hernandez, Michelle Marquart, Mark Pucher, and Michael Pucher. They always held a special place in his heart.

Thomas will be remembered as a kind-hearted individual who treasured his family above all else. His warm smile and caring nature left an indelible mark on those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be sorely missed by his cousins and friends as well.
