Shirley Finlon (nee Turczan)

Shirley Finlon (nee Turczan), a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and beloved friend, passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 88. Her life, rich in love and devotion, was a testament to the profound impact one person can have on their family and Hegewsich community.

Born on January 29, 1937, Shirley filled her days with warmth, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to those she loved. She was the devoted wife of the late Charles "Chuck" Finlon, with whom she shared a beautiful partnership grounded in mutual respect and affection. Together, they created a loving family that would grow to include many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Shirley was the loving mother of the late Sherill (Terry) Landgraf, Kevin Finlon, Maureen (late George) Pancer and Mary Jo (Patrick) Gulotta. The laughter and love of her children brought her endless happiness, and she treasured each moment spent with them. Shirley was also blessed with a circle of delightful grandchildren, including Amanda Pancer, Joshua Pancer, Jeffrey (Shannon) Pancer, Emily Finlon, Daniel (Ruthie) Finlon, Katherine Finlon and Nicholas Gulotta. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in nurturing their growth and witnessing their unique paths unfold. Her legacy is further enriched by her great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Mason, and Bradley, who were the apple of her eye. The love she shared with her family created bonds that will forever endure, and her spirit will continue to resonate through the lives of those she cherished. Shirley will be missed by Dennis Shaffer, who she considered part of the family. Shirley is preceded in death by parents: Walter and Eugenia Turczan, and sister Judy Turczan.
