Robert Michael Siminski 1961-2023 “Bobby”
Burnham IL
Robert was born in Chicago on a cold winter's day to parents Norbert "Butch" and Josephine (nee Poczworowski).
For his first years of school he went to St. Michael's Catholic church on South Shore Drive in the "Bush" neighborhood in Chicago before moving to Burnham. After the move he went to Burnham Elementary School and then to TF North High School where he was his senior class president. Bobby worked at Dominick's Finer Foods and Sam's Club in his younger years where he befriended many long time friends and acquaintances.
Bobby was a bright individual and he was a kind and gentle soul. His life changed immensely after his cancer diagnosis in 1997. After enduring much pain, surgeries and suffering in the past 26 years, he plugged along and was always happy to carry on and spoil his nieces and nephew. His biggest accomplishment was earning his Master's Degree in Hospital Administration. Even with his inability to speak or eat by mouth, he graduated with honors. He worked so hard and diligently for that degree. We were all so proud of him.
Many friends and cousins are left to mourn. Eternally cherishing his memory are his loving sister and partner in crime, Nancy (Rob) Johnson, his nieces Jackie Jo (Branden) Johnson-Martens, Juliet Johnson, his namesake, nephew and godson Robert Michael Johnson and dearest Uncle (brother) Kenneth Poczworowski. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Butch and Josie, brother Richard Simins, fur babies, BooBoo, Fabio, and Hayley, paternal grandparents, Stanislaw Siminski, Victoria (Elmer) Martz, and lastly maternal grandparents, Stephen and Sophie Poczworowski. Bobby will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
