Mary Ann Segvich

Mary Ann Segvich, 69, passed away very peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.  Mary Ann was born in Chicago to Angeline and Alexander Rzonca, who predecease her.  In 1966, she married her high-school sweetheart, Tony (Butch) Segvich, who also predeceases her. Their union was blessed with one son, Matthew (Patricia) Segvich, and one daughter, Angela Matushek. Also surviving are six grandsons: Anthony, Matthew, and Michael Segvich; Oskar, Augie, and Joey Matushek, brother, Joseph (Denise), sisters Christine Rzonca and Monica Ban, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  Preceeded in death by her sister, Alexandra (Rzonca) Scherer, and infant grandson, Yuri Segvich. Mary Ann was employed for 37 years by the Franciscan Hammond Clinic in the Urgent Care department.  She was a life-long member of the choir at St. Florian Church where she also served on the Liturgy Committee and as a volunteer with the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Donations are requested for the St. Florian St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.
