Julie Ann Lihota, a radiant soul whose laughter could ignite the dimmest of rooms, passed away on September 8, 2024. Born on September 12, 1962, to Edward and Judith (nee Draus) Lihota, Julie was a beacon of love and warmth. Her legacy shines brightly in the hearts of her beloved husband, Ken Morrison, who found in her a companion of unmatched spirit and devotion.
A woman of diverse interests, Julie approached life with a boundless enthusiasm, evident in her passionate love for baseball and hockey games. In recent years, she found joy in the tranquil moments spent at Lake Michigan, marveling at the majestic ships that glided across the horizon. These serene outings reflected her deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around her.
Her journey through education was marked by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and accomplishment. Julie attended St. Florian and George Washington High School, where she distinguished herself as a prize-winning participant in science fairs, starting from the 8th grade and culminating in years of exceptional projects that blossomed into an interest in organic gardening. Such endeavors not only enriched her academic life but also paved the path toward her professional aspirations, leading her to attend the University of Illinois Chicago Campus and subsequently earn her Paralegal certification from Roosevelt University, culminating in a career that allowed her to thrive with Patent lawyers.
Julie held a special place in the hearts of her family. She was the kind sister of Ruth M. Lihota and Joseph Lihota, always ready with support, wisdom, and love. As the dear aunt and cherished cousin to many, she crafted bonds that transcended the ordinary, enriching the lives of those lucky enough to know her.
