John William Shanahan, born on August 26, 1960, left this world on July 8, 2024. In the hearts of his surviving family and friends, John leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He was the loving brother of Cornelius (Janet) Shanahan, Mary (Steve) Lopez, and Patrick (Char) Shanahan. To his dear nieces and nephews Randy (Dominque), Bryan (Annie), Shawn, Kelly, Trisha, Patrick Jr. (Samantha), Melissa, Matthew, Jake, Ella, Isabel, and Malina, John was not just an uncle but a beacon of wisdom and warmth.
Although John's journey has now reached its peaceful end, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his sister the late Rita (late Ron) Johnson but is now reunited with her in a place where joy knows no bounds. John's parents, John and Mary Shanahan welcomed him into their arms once again with eternal love.
John's life was one filled with honor courage, and a deep sense of duty. His commitment to his country was unwavering, as he proudly served in the U.S. Army.
As we mourn the loss of John William Shanahan, let us also celebrate the light he brought into our lives and the profound impact he had on all who knew him. May his spirit soar free and may his memory be a comforting embrace during these difficult times.
