Evdokia Georgiou

March 28, 1932 — November 2, 2024

Evdokia Georgiou, born March 28, 1932, in her home country of Greece, who came to America for a better life, peacefully departed this world on Saturday, November 2, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was a beacon of strength and warmth, embodying the spirit of her heritage, and the enduring power of family bonds. Her marriage to Nicholas Georgiou, who preceded her in death, was a testament to their devotion and partnership. Together, they nurtured a family built on shared values and faith in God. She will be remembered most for her strong work ethic, perseverance, perfectionism, and the many goals she accomplished throughout her life. Her dedication, love, and selflessness to her family was truly inspirational.

She is survived by her beloved children, George (Violet) Georgiou, and Katherine (Kevin T. Gulley) Georgiou, who together, carry forward her extraordinary spirit. Evdokia's heart brimmed with pride for her grandchildren, Elena, Nicholas, and Michael, each of whom was a brilliant light in her life. Evdokia was very close to her sisters, their families and her Koubari. Her nurturing presence will be sincerely missed, but her legacy endures through all of them who adored her deeply. Each interaction she had was filled with kindness and wisdom, and those fortunate enough to know her have been forever touched by her grace. She was devoted to her faith, as a member of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. As we remember Evdokia Georgiou, let us celebrate a life well lived: one filled with laughter, love, and innumerable shared moments. Her memory will forever illuminate the hearts of her family, guiding them through their journeys in life - just as she guided them with her gentile spirit.
