Dora Perez (nee Garcia)

December 1, 1950 — August 19, 2024

Dora Perez, a cherished soul known for her warmth and compassion, departed this world on August 19, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Dora's spirit resonated with the vibrant essence of her home state, filled with rich traditions and heartfelt values.

She was the beloved wife of the late Luis H. Perez, whose memory remains a beacon of love in the hearts of their family. Together, they created a nurturing environment where laughter echoed and love flourished. Dora was a devoted mother to Humberto (Michelle Zhang) Perez, Daniel Luis (Andrea) Perez, and Cristal Perez, embodying strength and unconditional love as she guided her children through life's journey.

As a proud grandmother, Dora took immense joy in the accomplishments of her grandchildren: Theodore Perez, Avelyn Perez, Daniel Valentino Perez, Tahlia Grace Perez, Lukas Luis Perez, Jakob Jose Perez, Anahi Marisol Garcia, and Jonathan Lucas Garcia. Her eyes would light up at the mention of their names, and her heart swelled with pride as she shared countless stories and teachings that shaped their lives. Each moment spent with them was a treasured memory, close to her heart.

Dora also held dear her siblings, Benilda (Joseph) Ruiz, Caroline Garcia, Angelica (Isaac) Segura, Lupe (Guillermo) Chavez and Javier (Rosa) Garcia who provided her with steadfast support and love throughout her life. As a kind sister, she was always there with a listening ear and an understanding heart, strengthening the bonds of family that wove their lives together.

A beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, Dora touched the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her generous spirit, compassionate nature, and unwavering affection made a lasting impact on all who encountered her.

Preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Altagracia Garcia, Dora now joins them and her siblings, Amelia Soler, Abigail Garcia and Soccoro Garcia in eternal rest, as her legacy of love continues to inspire those left behind. She leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish her memory, holding onto the beautiful moments and lessons she gifted them throughout her life.

Dora Perez will be remembered not just for the roles she played in the lives of others, but for the extraordinary love she shared, a love that will echo through generations to come. Her spirit will forever guide her family, as they navigate life with the values she instilled in them—love, compassion, and unwavering support.
