Constance L. Rappaport (nee Ferek)

Constance “Connie” Rappaport passed away peacefully on Monday, October 21, 2024. Connie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank Rappaport, her parents Michael and Ruth Ferek, dearest Aunt and Uncle, Betty (Harold) Wright and Richard (Cecilia) Seip. Fondly remembered by her three children, Sue (Frank) Terlep, Michael (Marguerite) Rappaport and Patti (Chuck) Scott. Cherished grandmother of Cara (Dylan) Terlep Smith, Michael Terlep, Jack and Carey Scott and Frank and Kelly Rappaport.

Connie was born on March 13, 1937 in Chicago and graduated from Bowen High School. She raised her family in Hegewisch, served as secretary and was an active member of Lebanon Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening and crafting. Most importantly, she will be remembered for her Grandma Connie squeezes, delicious brownies and the always fun/loud Christmas Eve festivities.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Opyt’s Funeral Home, 13350 S. Baltimore Ave., Chicago, IL from 9:00am - 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Lebanon Lutheran Church in Connie’s name would be appreciated.
