Harold Pierz Sr.

Age 99, late of Burnham, IL, passed away Monday, August 17, 2020. Beloved husband of Bernice Pierz (nee Dason) for 76 years. Loving father of Harold, Jr. (Melrea), late Karl (Cynthia), and Paul (Gloria) Pierz. Proud grandfather of Dorothy (Gerald) Jackson, Jr., Karl (Jenny) Pierz, Jeffrey Pierz, Erika (Jody) Dockemeyer, and Bonnie (Larry) Wilson. Cherished great grandfather of Alec, Ivan, and Kyle Pierz, Gerald (Makenzie) Jackson, Ashley (Jeffrey) Pacheco, Jason (Bailey) Szerlak, Jacqueline Szerlak, Lucas Szerlak, Isabella Dockemeyer, and Brandon Dockemeyer. Loved great great grandfather of Colten and Weston Jackson, Landon, RyLeigh, and Atlas Pacheco, and Olivia Szerlak. Caring brother of late Alfred (late Margaret) Pierz, late Lucille (late Benedict) Zurawicz, late Richard (late Jean) Pierz, late Elaine (late Howard) Pavlock, late Wesley (late Caroline) Pierz, and late Ernest (late Maureen) Pierz. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents: Walter and Pearl (nee Matuszak) Pierz.

Harold proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He had 68 years of continuous membership in the American Legion, long time proud member of the NRA, 67 year member of IBEW Local 134, and member of Destroyer Escort Sailors Association (DESA).
